Swalek secure a long term Windfarm High Voltage Maintenance Contract
SwaleK High Voltage services has acquired a new windfarm high voltage maintenance contract over looking the holiday destination of Pendine sands. Parc Cynog Windfarm is situated on Parc Cynog farm, Parc Cynog is a wind farm operated by European Energy in Wales. Parc Cynog Windfarm was constructed in 2001. The Windfarm consists of 11 wind turbines in total.
There were originally five turbines on site which are Micon M1800-750/48 turbines built in 2001. In 2009, a further six turbines were installed by Enercon Wind Energy, the wind turbine model used was an Enercon E48. The site is connected to the Western Power network at 33KV. The site is owned European Energy.
The site switchgear comprises of a two panel Schnieder WSA 33KV switchboard, and a four panel Schnieder SF6 gas insulated circuit breaker board with sepam relay and fuse protection, house transformer is situated inside the building.
