High Voltage Maintenance

During routine maintenance
visit, we unexpectedly came across a
11000V/690V transformer, that was showing
high levels of dissolved gases. After our oil
sample was analysed at our partner’s lab, EA.
technology, multiple times over the following
weeks, we noticed that the levels continued
to increase.

After discussing the best outcome with our valued customer, we decided that a replacement was needed. Shortly after, we replaced the transformer. Certain modifications have to be made to the cable LV connection points, with the end result being a new HV cable to NGEN. Supplying and metering the RMU, diversion of the LV cables, and moving the LV cabinet from the left-hand side to the right-hand side of the transformer.
